Crossing
thru the San Ysidro Border
You
must remain inside the vehicle until the arrival at
the US Border Check-Point where you will be required
to exit the vehicle so that the authorities can inspect
your documentation and luggage.
Once
the taxi has been inspected as well,
you must board it again approximately 30 meters from
the spot you left the vehicle when you arrived.
in
such cases where you will need to get a permit to enter the US,
the taxi will not be able to stay were earlier specified,
you will need to speak to the driver about another location.
Crossing
thru the Otay Mesa Border
You
must remain inside the vehicle until the arrival at
the Otay Mesa Border, you will be required to exit the
vehicle and walk to the Check-Point with all your personal
belongings (its not permitted to leave anything inside
the taxi).
Once
there the authorities will inspect your documentation
and luggage.
By
disposition of the INS (Immigration
and Naturalization Services) we are not allowed to get
near to any of their buildings for loading and unloading
of passengers.
Your
taxi will be waiting in the designated
area (see illustration).
We
reserve the right to select whitch border you will be crossing based on the amount of passengers or buses, usually
the Otay Mesa Border is selected.
Waiting Fees
In
cases where there is a long wait to cross the border
the unit will wait with no extra charge, in some cases,
there may be a long wait for units in which you will
need to wait on the place specified to board the taxi.
In
cases where you are required to get a Permit
to enter the US, the unit will wait for 30 minutes at
no additional charge to you, after this time you will be charged
a waiting fee.
The
standard waiting fee is $20.00 USD per hour.
When
you require us to pick you at any specific address, you
will have 15 Minutes to board the taxi
with no additional charge.
